WebIn Western countries an orchestra usually includes stringed instruments, such as violins, cellos, and violas; woodwind instruments, such as flutes, oboes, and bassoons; brass instruments, such as trumpets, trombones, and tubas; and percussion instruments, such as drums, gongs, and the xylophone. WebToday, membership of the SDSU Civic Orchestra includes 45 musicians. Participation includes music majors, non-majors and adult musicians. The group practices on Tuesdays during the academic year.
