Web26 mei 2024 · What happens is, you get in the car, push on the brake (but it won't go down), try to push the start button, and of course it won't start because the brake is not depressed. This happened to my mom today (and has happened once before). She was at the grocery store and couldn't start the car to come home. WebI replaced my start button for my 2024 Hrv 2 weeks ago. The dealer wanted $350 and said it would take 2 1/2 hours. I bought the start button from Ebay, and accessories from Amazon ( wd40 contact cleaner & plastic dashboard tools) Total $35 and 5 minutes to install. The panel holding the start button has 4 clips, that's it.
